The Job

  • Develop strategies and plans in the implementation of senior housing and care services in alignment with the corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the operation of the senior housing and care facilities including the Tanner Hill, Senior Citizen Residences Scheme projects, Residential Care Homes for the Elderly and other skilled care facilities, ensuring these facilities operate within available resources and according to the corporate policies and financial targets.
  • Ensure the operation of the senior housing and care services and facilities are in compliance with the statutory requirements, including but not limited to the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Ordinance and related Code of Practice.
  • Formulate manuals and guidelines in relation to the operation of the senior housing and care services for quality control and risk management.
  • Build and Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders such as government departments, professional bodies, academic institutions, social services organizations to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

The Person

  • Degree holder, preferably in social work, nursing or healthcare related discipline or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including 10 years in management position.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, experienced in running self-financing services.
  • Familiar with elderly care organization process, cost control and budget making.
  • Strong leadership and ability to negotiate or liaise with internal and external parties at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance, local licensing ordinance, procedures and requirements for senior housing and care facilities and services.
  • Excellent written (in English and Chinese) and communication skill.
  • The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package up to Chief Social Work Officer (CSWO) grade.
