The Job

  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure safe and efficient operation of building services systems.
  • Supervise fault diagnosis and recovery during major system breakdowns and initiate contingency plans for serious incidents.
  • Administer maintenance and repair contracts, including resolving disputes with contractors.
  • Recommend and budget for improvement works to enhance safety, comfort, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage major improvement projects from planning and design through to testing and commissioning, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
  • Coordinate handover of new development projects and oversee defect rectification to protect the company’s interests.
  • Supervise team members to ensure effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Provide professional advice on design, installation, maintenance, and operation of building services systems.
  • Prepare and implement proposals for upgrading building fabric and major systems to improve standards sustainably.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company standards for all building services installations.
  • To act as a mentor for Senior Maintenance colleagues. 

The Person

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Engineer/ Professional bodies (e.g., HKIE) or equivalent certification.
  • Electrical Worker (Grade C).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in building services maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, contract administration, and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, HVAC, fire services, and lift systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Good budgeting and cost control ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
