The Job

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with print, broadcast, online and social media to generate positive coverage for HKHS at both corporate and project levels.
  • Plan and execute media engagement activities, including press conferences, media gatherings, media tours, interviews and daily media communications.
  • Prepare media materials, including press releases, factsheets, key messages and Q&As, and lines-to-take.
  • Manage media enquiries and support issue, crisis and reputation management through timely and effective communications with media and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, identify emerging issues and recommend appropriate communication strategies.
  • Plan, organise corporate events and prepare communication materials, speeches and publications, including annual reports and newsletters.

 

The Person

  • Degree holder in Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in corporate communications, media relations or public affairs within sizeable organisations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Public Affairs Manager.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proven track record and achievement in media relations, media campaign planning and story pitching.
  • Strong understanding of public affairs and policy developments, preferably related to housing and planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.
  • Analytical, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented team player.
