The Job

  • Plan and implement community development and stakeholder engagement strategy to solicit support from stakeholders.
  • Prepare District Council meetings, attend lobbying sessions / pre-meetings on related issues, handle enquiries, complaints and requests from members of the Legislative Council, District Councils, community leaders, local opinion leaders and concern groups.
  • Monitor closely the development of local political dynamics and handle community issues and disputes.
  • Undertake the analysis of community sentiments and intelligence; and provide views and suggestions on local community issues and engagement related to project development and housing management to supervisor for crisis and reputational management considerations.
  • Coach and provide guidance to subordinates where necessary.

 

The Person

  • Degree holder in Public Relations, Communications, Social Science or related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years’ post-qualification relevant work experience with a proven track record of handling community engagement and event management.
  • Solid work exposure in public organizations or sizable corporations is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, independent, outgoing, innovative with strong emotional intelligence and ability to perform multi-tasks under tight schedules.
  • Have good sense of the political climate and public affairs, especially housing issues.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Proficiency in MS Windows application including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing.
  • Irregular work hours and overtime is required.
