Reporting to the Assistant General Manager (Maintenance-Building Services), the incumbent will be responsible for leading a team and driving sustainability and innovation initiatives across our diverse portfolio.  This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement sustainable practices and innovative solutions, ensuring project deliverables are met within timelines and budgets.  The role will contribute to organisational change, promoting sustainability and fostering a culture of innovation within the company.

The Job:

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies, including energy optimization, resource conservation, and renewable energy integration, based on in-depth analysis of our asset portfolio.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and other digital solutions to enhance the operational efficiency and performance of our assets.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to sustainability and digital transformation in the real estate sector.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and propose viable solutions to enhance the environmental, social, and operational performance of our residential portfolio.
• Engage with residents, property managers, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs and concerns, and foster a culture of sustainability and innovation.
• Develop and deliver training programmes to educate the team on the benefits and application of sustainable and digital solutions.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with cross-functional teams, external partners, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination.

The Person:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in the real estate industry, focusing on sustainability, energy management, and digital transformation.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainable and digital initiatives in residential or commercial real estate.
• Proficiency in emerging technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
