The Job

• Report to the Assistant Director (Project Management), the job holder will assist in managing and overseeing the construction management team to ensure progress of the construction of development projects are meeting corporate objectives on cost, time, quality, safety and environmental requirements.
• Integrate with the current construction guidelines, develop a system of construction management and control framework, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and procedures
• Participate in, initiate and derive value engineering and buildability solutions at different stages of works from design, tendering, construction documentation as well as construction, with a focus on maintaining high safety standards
• Align practices amongst different construction management teams to accord with set guidelines and framework.
• Keep abreast of the latest development of construction industry on modern construction technology solutions in digitalization, Smart Site Safety, BIM, project programming tools and DWSS systems, and bring in improvements to the Division.

The Person

• University degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Building disciplines.
• Member of professional institution of HKIE, RICS, HKIS, HKICM or CIOB.
• Minimum 15 years in construction management of development projects, of which 8 years must be gained after qualification. Prior experience in managing large scale residential development projects in Hong Kong would be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of related ordinances as well as current technical and professional practices.
• Strong in construction site management, team building, interpersonal skills and problem-solving strategies.
• Familiar with modern methods in BIM, MiC, MiMEP, smart construction, smart safety, DWSS, project management tools.
• Candidate who demonstrates exceptional leadership in managing a sizeable development projects portfolio, with strategic vision and a history of driving results, will be considered for the position of General Manager.
