Senior Manager (Social & Elderly Wellness)

The Job

  • A senior management position overseeing the operation of Caring, Engaging and Smart (CES) and Senior Citizen Residences Scheme (SCRS) services and facilities, ensuring that they are operated within available resources and in accordance with the corporate strategies and financial targets laid down by HKHS.
  • Responsible for leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare and social work professionals, for the operation of SCRS projects with skilled care services and facilities, including but not limited to residential care homes for the elderly and home care support services.
  • Monitor the service administration of relevant service teams, conduct service evaluations and monitor intra-team coordination across estates/service units.
  • Oversee the overall operation to maintain high-quality standards of psychosocial and clinical care services, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements and related codes of practice.
  • Manage the overall administration and staffing matters in accordance with the policies laid down by HKHS, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements and related codes of practice.
  • Engage and develop collaborative relationships with local and international elderly service providers, professional organizations, government departments, user groups, foundations and related private agencies.
  • Develop and implement promotion plans and activities for the services through various channels, including but not limited to mass media and social media.
  • Promote the social and elderly services of HKHS to all stakeholders.
  • Represent the Social & Elderly Wellness Section in relevant meetings, working groups and conferences whenever necessary.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor as deemed appropriate.

 

The Person

  • Degree holder, preferably in social work or healthcare related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in social services and/or serving the elderly, including 8 years in a management position.
  • Demonstrate business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in operating self-financing services will be a definite advantage.
  • Familiar with elderly service delivery processes, cost control and budget preparation.
  • Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese, with good written English and Chinese.
