Senior Finance Officer

The Job:

  • Handle daily treasury operations and banking-related processes to support smooth financial execution across the Group.
  • Assist in monitoring liquidity and cashflow, ensuring timely funding and optimal use of bank resources.
  • Monitor and review payments, remittances, settlements, and bank account movements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Execute and follow up on deposit placements, FX deals, interest rate comparisons, and related banking instructions.
  • Prepare and review cashflow forecasts, treasury reports, variance analyses, and management presentations.
  • Handle bank account administration, including account opening/closing, mandate changes, user access, and KYC documentation.
  • Liaise with banks to resolve transaction issues, clearing exceptions, and operational matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support the enhancement of treasury workflows, including digitalisation, automation, and STP improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional financial or system-related projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

 

The Person:

  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in bank operations, cash management operations, corporate banking support, or treasury operations.
  • Strong understanding of bank operational workflows, including CHATS/RTGS, SWIFT messages, payment verification, cut-off times, and exception handling.
  • Proven ability to handle complex, high-value, or time-critical transactions independently with sound judgement and strong risk awareness.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues related to bank portals, payment systems, or treasury platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and control-minded approach.
  • Solid understanding of financial mathematics, including compound interest, total return, and annualized/average annual compound return (% p.a.) calculations, to support treasury product evaluation and decision-making.
