Senior Manager (Construction)

The Job

  • Manage consultants and contractors on-site and coordinate with internal divisions to ensure timely project completion and compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement HKHS site team management policies and procedures to ensure effective operations and maintain accurate site status and quality information.
  • Ensure contractor performance meets quality standards through the implementation of HKHS' Integrated Quality System, including continuous review of project quality assurance documentation and direct supervision or audit of tests and measurements.
  • Monitor project progress to identify and address delays, discrepancies, conflicts, or other anomalies on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the hand-over of completed projects to other divisions and follow up on complaints and defect rectification works.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements stipulated in the works contract.

The Person

  • Degree qualified in Building, Engineering, Architecture, or other construction-related disciplines, preferably with relevant professional qualifications such as MCIOB, MHKICM, MHKIE, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in managerial positions for construction projects.
  • Proven experience in construction or project management with relevant exposure in residential projects in the private/public sector, preferably having completed at least two projects from the initial stage to final handover to flat owners.
  • Familiarity with Buildings Ordinance, allied legislation, and related Codes of Practice & Guidelines in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety, environmental, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Windows.
