The Job

• Plan and implement planned maintenance programmes for the estates and properties within his area.
• Carry out regular survey to properties in his area and report on the conditions/state of repairs.
• Design and prepare details of building maintenance and improvement works and service installation works to satisfy user requirements.
• Monitor and check the record drawings, working drawings, specifications, tender documents and contract documents prepared by his subordinates.
• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender reports and administrate contracts.
• Prepare estimates, budgets and project costs reports.
• Co-ordinate and supervise maintenance / improvement contract works independently.
• Monitor and manage subordinates in inspecting, testing and taking over the Housing Society’s new properties.
• Manage filing of drawings, manuals and technical literature.
• Monitor performance of consultants and contractors for implementation of maintenance and improvement works.
• Give professional advice to estate management in respect of maintenance matters.
• Attend to emergency repair when required.

The Person

• A professional qualification in Architecture or Building Surveying or Higher Certificate in Building Studies plus 12 years’ experience in the maintenance of building in Hong Kong.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience in managing people for accomplishment of maintenance works.
• Must have initiative, good communicate skill in Chinese and English and be capable of working independently.
• Sound Knowledge in Buildings Ordinance and local professional maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience in computing.
