The Job

• Responsible for personal care of residents such as bathing, feeding and changing diaper.
• Escort and transport residents for indoor and outdoor activities.
• Maintain and carry out integrity of necessary stock for residents’ daily care.
• Assist residents to participate in all kinds of daily activities and programs.
• Keep accurate records of care delivered and resident’s response to care.
• Support and assist in the provision of a clean, comfortable, safe and secure environment. Keep clean and tidy for residents’ belongings.
• Provide services to residents to achieve optimal independence of daily living within the care plan, with consideration of a holistic approach and client preferences.
• Involve in planning and conducting activities for residents during regular intervals and especially on festive dates.
• Apply relevant occupational health and safety legislation and codes of practice, including duties and responsibilities for all parties under the general duty of care.
• Pair up with less experience HCO II for daily routine.
• Shift and night duty are required.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Person

• Form 3 or above with Certificate of Personal Care Worker and Health Worker Certificate
• Valid First Aids Certificate from recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 year relevant working experience in residential elderly service preferred.
• Self-motivated with interest in elderly residential home.
• Strong team player with caring mind.
• Good command of spoken Cantonese and written Chinese. 
• Mature, service-oriented and attentive to details.
