The Job

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the central administration of the Social & Elderly Wellness Section (SEWS) to optimize processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the section.

  • Assist the senior management to establish the operational objectives, plans and policies for the elderly services and related services/facilities to be provided at the Housing Society’s projects in alignment with the corporate strategy.
  • Coordinate human resource management, financial resource management, administrative support, and system/project planning and development for the SEWS, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to committees and working groups.
  • Coordinate and support SEWS service teams with office supplies, event management, and license applications/renewals.
  • Investigate and handle complaint cases, and respond to public inquiries.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with local and international stakeholders, including professional organizations, government, user groups, and private agencies.
  • Host and represent SEWS in relevant meetings, working groups, and conferences.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all parties.
  • Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

The Person

  • Degree holder, preferably in public administration / business administration.
  • Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organization, co-ordination, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices, and good knowledge of the operating procedures, budgeting and cost control of health care facilities.
  • Excellent writing skills in both Chinese and English.
  • Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese, and proficient in Mandarin.
  • Strategic thinker, business-oriented, and socially conscious.
  • Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered as Administrative Services Manager (Social & Elderly Wellness).
