Senior Desktop Support Supervisor

The Job

  • Work with the Infrastructure Team to implement local area networks in Head Office, Regional Office and all remote estate offices.
  • Supervise a team and allocate the tasks according to the jobs initiated from the IT Service Desk and perform production deployment to all physical & virtual desktop computers.
  • Administrate and support virtual desktop environments and schedule the deployment based on uses’ requirements.
  • Install and upgrade PC software and hardware for users to ready-to-use stage and conduct preventive maintenance regularly.
  • Maintain computer hardware inventory to reflect the actual allocation of computer assets.
  • Provide support on mobile devices and IT services being deployed in the devices.
  • Support the IT Service Desk and complete assigned calls from initiation to completion according to ISO20000 Standards.
  • Perform additional tasks subject to the arrangement of IT Management.


The Person

  • Degree holder in Computer related disciplines with Microsoft Professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in PC support and network administration including LAN and VMware virtual desktop setup with supervision experience and experienced in using and troubleshooting desktop software/hardware.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office, Windows Desktop & Server Operating System and common desktop software.
  • Sound knowledge of Windows desktop software and hardware, VMware View, Active Directory, MS Office 365, data networking, accessories including various kinds of printers, scanners and Chinese input devices.
  • Familiar with VMware View and Symantec Altiris Client Management is preferred.
  • Good knowledge on ITIL standards especially on frontline support processes.
  • Good Knowledge on ServiceNow or other ITSM tools is an advantage.
  • Hands on experience in LAN setup and administration especially TCP/IP Network.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Cantonese. 
  • Good customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise own and team workload.
  • Mature, dynamic and able to work under pressure.
