Community Services Manager / Social Worker (3-year Contract)

The Job

  • To coordinate a service project funded by The Kadoorie Charitable Foundation to create a mind-friendly environment that improves mental wellbeing and enhance community resilience by building mutual support network and co-designing beautification initiatives as mental respite areas.
  • To liaise and coordinate with project partners to facilitate the delivery of the project at respective estates. 
  • To oversee the project's administrative tasks, including financial management and the submission of progress reports, and manage project milestones and achievements.
  • To assist the Manager (SEW) of the Caring Engaging Smart (CES) Team in the execution of project services, including but not limited to promotion, groups and programmes, at respective estates according to the approved business plans and milestones.
  • To coordinate and co-work with internal parties to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • To liaise and partner with external parties at respective estates, including but not limited to district social service operators, social enterprises, health service providers, hospitals, educational institutes and governmental departments.
  • To provide professional counseling and case management for needy tenants, expertise timely referrals to social services and closely liaise with NGOs for subsequent follow-up action to prevent crisis.
  • To undertake any other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor deems appropriate.

The Person

  • Minimum 5 years’ post qualification working experience in recognized welfare organization of elderly service; community services preferable.
  • With administrative and supervisory experience.
  • Previous in-charge-of community health program, elderly care projects preferable.
  • Good connection with NGOs, social enterprises and other stakeholders in social services.
  • Self-starter with ability to excel in a changing community environment.
  • Strong team player, mature and able to conduct evidence-based study.
  • Motivated with strategic mindset in service development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
